Ucc welcomed thousands of freshmen into the University
UNIVERSITY OF CAPE COAST WELCOMES OVER TWENTY THOUSAND FRESHERS TO THE LAND OF POSSIBILITIES
Fresh undergraduate students admitted to pursue various programmes at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) for the 2025/2026 academic year have begun arriving on campus today, marking the start of a new chapter in their academic journey.
Staff across the Main Campus in Cape Coast and the satellite campuses at Papafio, Agona Nyakrom, and Dominase are on hand to support freshers as they report and register.
Speaking on the admission process, the Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Atta Yeboah-Sarpong, explained that all qualified applicants were duly offered programmes of study. He noted that more than half of the admitted students had already accepted their offers and completed the required payments.
On orientation activities, the Senior Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Dean of Students, Mr. Alexander Opoku Danso, announced a new approach for this year’s freshers.
He explained that, unlike previous years, the general orientation would be conducted virtually.
Freshers will have access to orientation materials and video presentations on various topics designed to help them understand and adapt smoothly to life at UCC.
He added, however, that Halls of Residence, Faculties, Schools, Departments and other University Units would still organise face-to-face orientation sessions focused on issues specific to their respective areas.
University of Competitive Choice
Thousands of fresh students have started arriving on campus to begin the 2025/2026 academic year at their dream university - University of Cape Coast (UCC)
Smiling broadly, the freshers - in the company of their guardians- went through registration formalities at their halls of residence.
While those who had met their mates from senior high school looked excited to be together in UCC too, it was an emotional moment as some first year students were spotted taking memorable photographs with their parents.
