The initiative, themed “Training Young Leaders to Drive National Development,” seeks to equip emerging leaders with the knowledge, skills, and values required to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s socio-economic progress. It reflects a shared commitment by both organisations to nurture a new generation of visionary, ethical, and impact-driven leaders.
The highly anticipated programme is scheduled to take place on 8th May at 3:00 PM at the prestigious British Council, providing an ideal setting for intellectual engagement, networking, and leadership development.
This collaboration builds on the success of a similar leadership programme organized last year, which brought together distinguished speakers and thought leaders who inspired participants with practical insights and real-world experiences. The impact of that event continues to resonate, as many participants have since taken on leadership roles within their communities and institutions.
The upcoming training will feature seasoned professionals, policymakers, and leadership experts who will engage participants on key areas such as transformational leadership, governance, youth empowerment, innovation, and national development strategies. The programme is designed to be highly interactive, combining mentorship, experiential learning, and practical case studies.
Speaking on the partnership, representatives from IAF emphasized the importance of investing in youth leadership as a critical pillar for sustainable development. They noted that empowering young people with the right mindset and capabilities is essential to building resilient institutions and fostering inclusive growth.
TTAG-EGA also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its commitment to developing teacher trainees not only as educators but also as community leaders and change agents. The association believes that leadership development among teacher trainees will have a multiplier effect, as they influence future generations.
The initiative underscores the growing recognition that national development is deeply tied to the quality of leadership at all levels. By focusing on youth, IAF and TTAG-EGA are taking proactive steps to ensure that the next generation is prepared to lead with integrity, innovation, and a strong sense of responsibility.
As anticipation builds for the programme, stakeholders across the education and youth development sectors have lauded the initiative as timely and impactful. It is expected to attract participants from various institutions, creating a platform for collaboration, networking, and shared learning.
Ultimately, this partnership represents more than just a training programme—it is a bold investment in the future of Ghana. By empowering young leaders today, IAF and TTAG-EGA are helping to lay the foundation for a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous nation.
