General Entry Requirements

Eligible applicant must  

• Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth
• Be of good character
• He/She should not have any criminal record
• He / She be of good health
• He / She must pass a selection interview

 

• Admission Process

Prospective candidates must

• Pass the SSSCE/WASSCE or its relevant equivalent exam from the West African Examination Council.
• Meet the basic programme requirement as specified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and Ministry of Health entry requirements.
• Purchase the NMTC, online application form.
• be shortlisted with the name appearing on the notice board..
• have gone through a selection interview.
• be offered admission after having passed the selection interview.

Entry Requirements

1. The programme has been designed for SSS/SHS graduates with credits in WASSCE/SSSCE with a requisite aggregate of 24/36 or better.
2. A credit in three core subjects, A1–C6/A–D in English language, integrated science, and mathematics, and credits in any three elective subjects from the following:
   • Science Programme
     • Mathematics (Elective)
     • Physics
     • Chemistry
     • Biology
   • General Arts
     • Literature in English
     • French
     • The Ghanaian Languages
     • Economics
     • History
     • Government
     • General Knowledge in Arts
     • Christian Religious Studies.
   • Home Economics
     • Management in Living
     • Food and Nutrition
     • Biology
     • Chemistry
     • French
     • General Knowledge in Arts
• Agricultural Science
• Physics
• Chemistry
• General Agriculture
• Mathematics (Elective)
• French

During the form application, you are supposed to provide the following information.

• First name
• Last name
• Previous names
• Date of birth
• Passport photo of you.
• WASSCE or NOVDEC Certificate
• Results slip
• Birth certificate
• Program type (Diploma, Certificate, etc.)
• Place of birth
• District of the place of birth
• Region
• Address
• Digital address (optional)
• Email address
• Name of parent/guardian/next of kin
• Contact of parent

Steps to fill Nursing Training forms in 2024

See the steps below.

1. Purchase the Nurse’s training admission voucher via the Ghana Post GPS app or from a nearby bank.

You’ll be given a receipt that has the serial number and application PIN on it.

2. Open a browser on your laptop or phone
3. Visit www.healthtraining.gov.gh/
4. Key in your serial number and PIN
5. Click or tap “Enter” to process/login
6. Read the initial instructions to abreast yourself with the online application.
7. Start filling out the form by providing all the details required of you.
8. Upload your passport-sized photograph and all required documents.
9. Upload your best examination results.
10. Click on “Preview” to preview your application summary.
11. Click on “Print” to print the application summary.
12. Keep the printout safe. It might be required during the interview session.
13. You’ve successfully filled the Nursing Training Admission forms online with ease.
